The Canadian C7 features fully ambidextrous controls, which American M4s do not, and all parts are made in Canada to the highest standards. The barrels are cold hammer forged and made from chrome moly vanadium steel. This process and material creates extremely tough barrels that will last a very long time, and are superior to American M4 barrels, which are just machined with button rifling. The chrome lining on the chamber is also more resilient to extreme temprature change and heat stress than the M4 chrome lining.
